Phil Carey

​Phil Carey's journey began at Marine Engineering College in 1984, where he cultivated a deep understanding of complex engineering systems. This foundation propelled him into the Royal Navy in 1986, where he served as a Weapons Systems Engineer specializing in anti-submarine warfare. Simultaneously, he earned his qualifications as a helicopter pilot, operating in high-stakes environments that demanded precision, resilience, and strategic thinking. His honorable discharge in 1991 marked the conclusion of a distinguished military chapter and the beginning of a dynamic civilian career.
 
His next phase included a transition into financial services, earning a Financial Planning Certificate while nurturing a growing passion for aviation. He pursued advanced certifications, including a UK Commercial Pilots License and an Instrument Rating, alongside an NVQ Level 4 in Airline Transportation. This blend of financial acumen and aviation expertise positioned him for success in the aerospace industry. In 1997, he joined Cessna Aircraft Company as Regional Sales Director for Northern Europe and Scandinavia, where he played a pivotal role in reintroducing piston engine aircraft to the international market. His return to the U.S. in 1998 marked a strategic shift toward the corporate jet sector, where he built a reputation as a trusted advisor in aviation sales and fleet management.
 
Phil founded Britannia Aviation Services International in 1999, offering specialized solutions to meet the evolving demands of global aviation, which was subsequently and successfully rebranded as Engage Aviation in 2006, with a renewed focus on client-centered services and strategic fleet disposal. Between 2000 and 2005, he deepened his expertise in the commercial aircraft sector, collaborating with major financial institutions and leasing firms to facilitate aircraft sales and fleet optimization. Under his leadership, Engage Aviation has since emerged as a respected force in the aviation industry, known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence.

Bryson Monteleone

Bryson Monteleone brings over 27 years of deep expertise in both corporate and commercial aviation, with a specialized focus on aviation finance. His career spans aircraft appraisal and valuation, lease advisory, technical consulting, and remarketing. Most notably, he served as a Senior Advisor for PwC Ireland’s Aviation Finance Advisory Services team, where he led efforts in portfolio valuation, due diligence, and transactional advisory, while also acting as a Subject Matter Expert for global audit teams working with airlines, lessors, and investors.

Throughout his career, Bryson has advised a wide range of stakeholders including aircraft manufacturers, governments, rating agencies, and financial institutions. As an ISTAT Certified Senior Appraiser Fellow, he has conducted market appraisals, technical inspections, and end-of-lease analyses for aircraft transactions. His work in the corporate aircraft space included managing a program to convert regional jets into business aircraft, blending commercial and corporate market insights with strategic branding and global marketing initiatives.

Bryson has also played a critical role during aviation market downturns, helping institutional investors and banks restructure and liquidate defunct aircraft portfolios. His success in remarketing regional fleets and managing complex asset sales has solidified his reputation as a trusted advisor. A prominent figure in the aviation community, he regularly speaks at global conferences, teaches workshops, and contributes to major media outlets. His leadership within ISTAT includes sitting on the ISTAT Executive Committee and previously serving as Chair of the International Appraisers’ Program for six years, while heading the Content Committee. He currently Chairs the Sustainability Committee, reflecting his commitment to advancing sustainable aviation practices, while concurrently sitting on the Board of Directors of impact.
